For those of you that don't know what herkimers are... I'm so very sorry... but let me tell you. They are wonderfull and rare quartz crystals that form with 8 fascets, and double pointed. Well they are just gorgeous to say the least. I just got a lot of them, and have more on the way! today I got 23 of them... all kinda of sizes, and varying degrees of clarity, but the best thing is I got some soul mates... which is when 2 points grow together... there a few of those, and even a cluster of several points!
So now I can't wait to get to work on new pieces, but first I gotta make the cross I was commisioned to make with one...
So this weekend I'll be running some kind of miles and happily working with my new gems!
